Gets Kelsey for $30 million of estimated $60 million pot
We told you earlier about former
Fraiser star Kelsey Grammer's bitter battle with his now-ex-wife,
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille. When he spoke to Oprah, Kelsey lobbed sarcastic remark after sarcastic remark at his ex-wife, most notably that he "owed her fame." Well, he might be biting his tongue enough to not say anything else because a Beverly Hills judge recently judged in Camille's favor, which will cost him $30 million.
A huge chunk of that will come from three estates that are currently on the market. Between assets and that real estate, the two were said to be worth a combined $60 million, which in California, means that she is entitled to half of that.
However, before you cry for Kelsey, the reports are that when the two met, he was nearly broke. This was despite all the money he made from starring on Cheers and
Fraiser. An unhealthy lifestyle of bad decisions and a crippling drug habit took its toll on him, and in the true spirit of the law, she helped him bring back his empire. According to reports, she is the reason they have the $60 million to split in the first place.
