Halle Berry is many things — beautiful, Oscar-winning; model. Now, we can add child-support payer to the resume after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that she has to pay over $16,000 in child support each month to her ex, Gabriel Aubry, to provide for their 6-year-old daughter Nahla.
The couple began this custody battle shortly after they broke up in 2010. They had been seeing each other since 2005 while shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles, but then things got ugly between Berry and the Canadian fashion model. It got so bad that it spilled over to a violent interaction between Aubry and Berry's current mate, French actor Oliver Martinez in 2012.
There had also been a very messy attempt by Berry to move her daughter to France, where she was going to live with Martinez, and a restraining order against Aubry filed by Nahla's nanny in 2012. These incidents are now past them, and the six year old now splits time between both father and mother.
Additionally, the court also ordered Berry to pay $115,000 retroactively in child support and cover her ex-boyfriend's legal fees, currently at a sum of $300,000. She is also fully responsible for Nahla's tuition, while both parents will divide health care costs.
