On the list of reasons one wants to get divorced from someone, getting shot at by them is pretty up there. So we see no problem with Misty Seylhouwer, The wife of Cincinnati-area radio show host Blake Seylhouwer, asking to untie the knot.
Besides the divorce papers that accuse him of adultery, extreme cruelty and gross neglect of duty, Misty reports that the radio-host shot at her with a rifle in the driveway of their home. She was wounded by the cement shrapnel caused by the shot, for which she was treated and released from an area hospital.
The Seylhouwers argued in the days before the shooting. She was throwing her husband out when he allegedly shot at her, police have said. The local Police Chief Frank Maupin said Blake Seylhouwer waited until his wife turned her back after she brought out his clothes and prescription medication before he purposely fired a shot in her direction in their driveway.
Blake Seylhouwer told authorities the gun accidentally went off, but police were not convinced. His wife also disputed that version and begged police to keep him away from her. He was arrested and charged with felonious assault and domestic violence. He has pleaded not guilty, and his bond was set $500,000.
This all comes years after the male Seylhouwer was caught trying to have sex withan underage girl. Seylhouwer lived in Fresco, Texas, but went to Westerville, Ohio, believing he was going to have sex with a 14-year-old girl he had been communicating with the girl over the Internet. When he arrived, though, he discovered the girl actually was an undercover police officer.
He was arrested and charged with importuning, attempted pandering sexually oriented matter involving a juvenile and attempted illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.
She is asking for custody of their two daughters, 4 and 1, and a total of $7,500 in monthly spousal and child support.
