The Walmart super chain has become one of the largest brands in the world by selling deeply discounted things for everyday life. As you probably guessed, that world of cheap sweatpants and budget food items doesn't extend to the Walton Family, who controls the billions that come in. Apparently, that doesn't stop with them. It includes their spouses, too.
Walmart heiress Paige Laurie is in the process of divorcing from Patrick Dubbert. He is looking for around $250,000 per month in alimony, which means she'd be shelling out $400,000 before taxes. Why does he need that much? Because he's used to the lifestyle he's lived for six years, which includes the following registered in the court records:
• Rental home, $40,000 — 60,000 a month
• Furniture -- $10,000 a month
• Personal chef -- $6,700 a month
• Clothes -- 5,000 a month
• Personal trainer, $2,500 a month
• Vacations $30,000 a month
• Entertainment $80,000 a month
• Personal stylist -- $1,000 a month
• Driver -- $4,000 a month
Beyond the fact someone needs $10,000 a month for furniture, we'll be interested to see how this plays out in the courts since there is a prenup already written up between the two. Dubbert gets $30,000 a month in spousal support for half the length of the marriage. They've been married almost 6 years, so that's almost three years of $360,000 paid out. We'll see if the judge thinks that's enough for him, or believes that $30,000 a month for vacations is needed.
