Once you’ve filed a petition or response, the very next step is
to file a disclosure document. It’s a fancy way of saying that you
let the other party know what you believe all the assets and debts in
the case are.
There are two major documents that we file. The first is the schedule of
assets and debts, and the second is the income and expense declaration.
All of your assets, debts, income, and expenses are laid out in these documents. At this time, either party can decide whether they need more information
based on what has been received, or you can get ready to start talking
negotiation.
If you have any questions for me, don’t hesitate to reach out via
phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
